Equipment - Install and Maintain

Back

Airpumps, Skimmers and other ancillary equipment

As well as pumps and filters, hose and fittings, fountain nozzles and valves, we supply and install a range of other useful equipment for ponds.

A quiet and efficient airpump, sited remotely, provides a steady stream of airbubbles to the aerator in this lake, benefiting fish with extra oxygen in the summer months.

Various styles of surface skimmer help to remove floating debris and maintain the sparkling clarity of the water surface in reflecting ponds and koi pools.

On large ponds, custom plumbed Ultra-Violet (UV) units can be housed in a suitably hidden area. Smaller units are usually fitted close to the filter system or within submerged combination units. UV is often used alongside mechanical and biological filtration (see Glossary), the units control troublesome green-water algae.

We can supply, install, repair and service most common types of units - not only the models we supply - carrying out the annual lamp change, acid-clean of quartz sleeves, and replacement of seals where necessary.

Whether in the pond or in the garden, subtle use of Garden Lighting can really bring outdoor spaces to life at night. They extend garden use in summer evenings, safely light paths and steps, and transform trees - even in the depth of winter.

We use safe, low-voltage units. Remote switching and heavy duty-fittings increase the practicality of installations.

Any pond might eventually require draining and cleaning. We use our own Vats to enable temporary storage of fish, supplying aeration and filtration when required.

This service is only available whilst we carry out other work on your property.

(Note that the release of exotic fish or plants into open waters, rivers and lakes can cause environmental problems and is illegal)
